This part of the website will consist of activities and interests which are more peripheral now possibly historical, but still somehow related.
For example the piece to the left is a hommage to my dear friend - Frank Charlton who died during the covid pandemic. It is a piece written by him that uses a version of the Pelog pentatonic scale. It was recorded in the late 1990s at home and performed by Frank - trumpet, Andy Gill - alto saxophone, myself, Chris Rodel - double bass and Robbie Allen - drums who also very sadly passed away in the early 2010s. ----------------------------------------------------- Also, images used on this website are as a result of an interest in photography where the use of old analogue glass lenses which have been bought very cheaply online are connected to a digital camera. Pictures are taken often on morning walks in the local countryside. |
The slideshow to right of this text was made after researching as many artists as could be found on the internet who were exhibited at the degenerate artshow in Munich in Germany in the 1937. It interested me to find examples of each artist's work and then make a slideshow with a soundtrack which also reflected the time and geography when this visual art was being made and rejected by the Nazis It is best to maximise the image to 'fullscreen' (bottom right side of slideshow screen) |
